| In
pursuit of his first major-label recording contract, Tim Purcell,
and his band, The Mustangs,
are creating quite a stir as they perform to packed houses throughout
the Southeast. Says John Huie of Creative Artist Agency in Nashville,
"Tim has always had the voice to be a major star, now it seems
he has focus and direction. His latest independent CD has a couple
of songs on it that just might land him a deal. "
In
addition to his writing and recording talents, Tim has for many
years been a fixture on the local Atlanta music scene. As lead singer
and keyboardist in the successful regional rock bands, Lou's
Blues Revue and
Perfect World,
he
has developed a reputation as a dynamic singer and performer. He
displayed his versatile talent not only in the rock and blues field
but also as the lead singer and front man for the critically acclaimed
country act
The Riley Hawkins Band.
From
1993 through 1995 The
Riley Hawkins Band performed
four nights each and every week at "Mama's
Country Showcase"
in
Decatur, Georgia before crowds frequently in excess of 2,000.
With
The
Mustangs
Tim has called on his wealth of experience to choose the very best
songs from all the varied styles he's mastered throughout his career
and incorporate them in the band's shows. The
Mustangs
club and festival performances include selections made famous
by major artists such as Bad Finger,
The Mamas and the Papas, The Rolling Stones , Prince, Journey, KC
and The Sunshine Band as well as many of today's top
Rock and Country artists. The addition of talented vocalist Judy
Browne has allowed the band to stretch out and become much more
versatile in its song selection. Whether performing songs by No
Doubt, Pink, Sheryl Crowe, Bonnie Raitt, Aretha Franklin
or Shania Twain Classic Rock or Country we know you'll love
this band. |
